Bicoastal Nomad Editing Company has named Celest Gilbert as Executive Producer in their New York studio. Prior to joining Nomad, Gilbert cut her teeth as a producer, then EP with Venice, California-based boutique VFX studio Sea Level. While there she worked on many award-winning commercial campaigns, including “Hello Tomorrow,” the Spike Jonze-directed piece for adidas which currently resides in the permanent collection at MOMA.
"Having collaborated with the talented Nomad editors for nearly a decade, I am honored to be joining such a creative and esteemed studio," Gilbert says.
Upon moving to New York in 2007, Gilbert took on freelancing assignments with several top shops including Psyop, Final Cut and Digital Kitchen before joining Smoke & Mirrors as their EP in 2008. In late 2009, Gilbert opted to take a brief sabbatical from advertising to pursue her longtime interest in creative writing. Quickly accomplishing her goal, and getting published in The New York Times, Gilbert decided it was time to rejoin her friends in the advertising world and get back to making commercials.
"We’re excited to have Celest join Nomad," says Co-Founder/Editor Tom Muldoon. "We have worked with her for many years and have always appreciated her professionalism and positive energy. Her wide range of experience is a plus and makes her a great fit with everyone at the company."
Nomad's roster includes Editors Joel Miller, Mike Coletta, Tom Muldoon, John Murray, Glenn Martin, Jared Coller and Jason Painter.
