Rock Paper Scissors, the creative editorial studio, has opened a New York office in the Flatiron District led by Editors Carlos Arias and Frank Snider. Rock Paper Scissors editors have been working consistently in New York for the last two years, so the opening of the office is seen as the next step in the company’s growth, as it will allow its editors to work seamlessly between its West Coast and East Coast outposts.
Arias and Snider will complement Rock Paper Scissors' current editorial roster which includes Kirk Baxter, Terence "Biff" Butler, David Brodie, Damion Clayton, Elliot Graham, Jon Hopp, Adam Pertofsky and Angus Wall.
Arias has just finished the next round of the award winning campaign for Old Spice, directed by Tom Kuntz of MJZ for Wieden + Kennedy. His current work for Old Spice, along with work for Virgin Atlantic (directed by Jim Jenkins of O Positive for Y&R/New York) and GiveitaPonder.com/LG (directed by Ulf Johnansson of Smith & Jones, also for Y&R/New York), all received awards at Cannes and the 2010 AICP Show, with Old Spice taking the Film Grand Prix and AICP’s Advertising Excellence Award for a single commercial.
Snider is currently working on a Versace campaign with acclaimed fashion photographer Craig McDean, and has projects lined up with Anomaly and Baron & Baron. His client list includes spots for Mercedes, Calvin Klein, MasterCard and the NFL. Among the directors Snider has collaborated with are Lance Acord, Jim Jenkins, Malcolm Venville and Fabien Baron.
Rock Paper Scissors was launched in Los Angeles in 1992. Its editors have contributed to some of the industry’s most high-profile commercial, music video, feature film and TV projects. Rock Paper Scissors has earned awards from AICE, AICP, Cannes, the Emmy Awards, the Clios, the One Show and ADC.
