Nick Lewin Signs with Nola Pictures

Director Nick Lewin, seen before his stint at RSA Films.

Nola Pictures has signed renowned director Nick Lewin for exclusive commercials representation. Lewin’s commercial portfolio includes work for American Express, AT&T, BMW, British Telecom, Cadillac, Chase, Chevrolet, Chevron, Chrysler, Diet Coke, Ford, Guinness, Heineken, Hershey's, Honda, Hyundai, Jeep, Levis, Nissan, Toyota, Visa, Volkswagen and Volvo. His countless recognitions include awards from Cannes, the British Television Advertising Awards, the Clios and the Art Directors Club, to name a few.

"Nick is a highly creative, talented and productive director with a very comprehensive understanding of what's possible all the way through post, and that's what we're about at Nola," note Nola Executive Producer Charlie Curran. "I've had the good fortune to have known and worked with Nick on a wide range of projects. He's an invaluable addition to our collaborative team."

Says Lewin, "I’ve covered a variety of jobs in the industry. I started as an editor for Ridley Scott and then had my own production company in the UK. I’ve been represented in the US by Crossroads, but wanted to re-establish my relationship with Charlie, with whom I worked many times as an agency producer and also as an EP at Crossroads.  I really feel no one is more versatile than Charlie and Nola, which is why I made the move. I've been really impressed with the way they've built themselves into a stand-alone production and post studio, signing incredible talent in every area. As a director, I feel much better when I can just walk down the hall and see how a project is looking in edit or post, rather than entrusting everything to outside specialty shops."

Beyond the advertising realm, Lewin's work includes “The Bloody Chamber,” a feature for Paramount, and “Tzcyk,” a documentary on modern ballet. Prior to his stint with Crossroads, Lewin co-ran Lewin & Watson in London and spent time in the cutting rooms at RSA.
